This video was made with humor in mind and delves into a quote Obi-Wan made in Star Wars Episode IV.

  • does anyone know if a human sniper can be that pricise in aiming his rifle while the targets are moving in those high speeds? it looked like the tusken raiders weren't even using thier scopes!

  • @CMKify Comparing a human sniper rifle to a Tusken rifle is pretty pointless. But yes, a human sniper rifle bullet can hit an object moving as quickly as a podracer if the sniper projects his shot correctly.

  • @ThePurpleSpartan can you add a Stormtrooper "remix" at the end of the movie. Would like to see other parts where they miss.

  • @jlebrech What do you mean by a Stormtrooper remix? Like a compilation of footage where the Stormtroopers miss when they shoot at the heroes? That would be in every battle except for the first and last of the old trilogy and that's way too much footage for me to compile, lol. At the beginning of Episode IV, they shoot the Princess with a stun shot ("Set for stun!"). Then they manage to hit Leia again in Episode VI as seen in the footage here. Every other battle, they miss.

  • Hmm, you make an interesting point! I'm curious now as to whether he ever found out that all the Storm Troopers were basically clones of Jango Fett or not, I don't remember. It is interesting that Lucas knew to make all the Storm Troopers the same height in the old movies though. So when Leia said "Aren't you a little short for a Storm Trooper?" that should have clued us in right there!

  • @NintendoCapriSun I think one of the Kamino cloners did tell Obi-Wan that all the clones were from Jango Fett. He just didn't know for sure if Jango was the bounty hunter until he went and saw Jango, in armor, leaving.

Also, a comment from NSC?! :D I could scream. :P

  • TUSKEN RAIDER CAMPER NOOBS! xD

  • @ThearasNavul O.o

  • @FlyingPuppehPants You last sentence quoted what I basically said on my first sentence.. -.-' And we both have a legit argument here. I FREAKING KNOW you can see it. But I think they only did that, to make fight scenes actually enjoyable. JUST like how they put sound into space scenes. And gave vehicles car sounds.. All for enjoyment. Its been undecided whether they fire a Plasma Bolt, or some sort of laser. Plasma is still way to fast, but slower than light. But it would also leave a trail.

  • @ThearasNavul You're missing my point by a long shot... you can see the beams MOVING in the movies, while light can travel all the way around the earth something like 6 times per second?? The shots fired from blasters in Star Wars VISIBLY move much slower. I'm not sure they are intended to be lasers at all, but the light you see is an effect of whatever round they dispense. As far as "Lasers now-a-days move almost 300 times the speed of light" nice ass pulling on your figures there. It IS light!

  • @FlyingPuppehPants Considering a laser is a concentrated beam of light.. It moves at the speed of light. Lasers now-a-days move almost 300 times the speed of light. So I'm pretty sure a race with advanced technology far beyond that would achieve something close, if not faster. And of coarse you could see it, what kind of movie would it be if it looked like they were firing absolutley nothing? Just like you could hear all the lasers and ships in space battles. It would normally be silent.

  • @ThearasNavul What makes you think for one second that the weapons in the star wars universe shoot rounds that move at the speed of light?? You can see the beam visibly moving almost every time. Only certain weapons pictured in the games and possibly in episode II-III actually shoot a light beam. (rare) The Death Star used a similar weapon, but that is hardly a Tusken bolt rifle...

  • LOL

  • @CMKify A sniper bullet moves at about two thousand eight hundred feet per second and is affected greatly by the forces of friction and gravity while as the laser from the Tusken Rifles is almost instantaneous since a laser is not effected by gravity, is hardly effected my friction, and moves at the speed of light. So it would definitely be easier with a laser rifle considering all you do is aim at the object rather than take into account all the factors that would effect a bullet.
