I met the mare Zipper at 0:48 When she was a yearilng filly. She was exceptionally friendly and loving, and remained so at age 10 as she's shown here. A lot depdends on the temperament of the mare. A few zebra hinnies are shown here (zebra mom), but they are not produced purpsoefully, as they waste a year of the repproductive year of the zebra dam. Zebra mares are used to produce zebra foals. The old mare at 2:32 is a quagga, an extinct subspecies of teh plains zebra.

The farmers that went from Holland to South-Africa,used the hides of this animal, to make potatoe-sacks..., because there were so many of them...yes were...

The last picture was not a cross-bred, but the last living quagga zebra sub-species from the common plain zebra.
it was called the quagga, and was quit common in the southern parts of Africa.
This footage was from the london Zoo,where one of the last living examples was alive at the beginning of the last century.
In the Amsterdam Zoo Artis the last one died, too sad for words...

2:34 is a Quagga, not a Zorse. Quaggas are extinct animals and are distinctly different from Zorses, as they belong to the Zebra family.
