iMac fan noise

My Mac has started to do this same thing. It's the front fan on a newer Mac Pro but it's the same exact noise. I've tolerated it for a while but after seeing this I think I'll take this in and see what they can do to fix it.

never heard an Imac fan do that. Sounds like a fan blade hitting a piece of paper, tape, or cable. BTW, you can DEMAND onsite repair if you are under warranty. Apple hides this fact when you call them.

my imac does that too what should i do?

same exact noise as my iMac fan. Took it to apple store, they replaced the hard drive fan but forgot to plug in the optical drive fan (it was super quiet when I booted it up after taking it home. Then I saw from iStat Pro that the optical drive fan was at 0 RPM) took it to an authorized service center, they plugged back in the OD fan but now it's making a buzzing again, which means the original hard drive fan that apple replaced probably didn't need to be replaced at all. I still need it fixed.

I have the same problem, with the same model. I sould try to send it back to Apple as well. It's still under warranty.
how do you fix it?

@gaspajr My Apple came by and took my iMac, to send it to a reparation center. Ten days later I had it back with a new fan.

My IMac is doing the same thing. Did Apple replaced your Imac?

I sent my iMac to assistance. It was not substituted but the problem was solved by replacing a broken fan.

Ahimè non è assolutmante normale! La ventola ha cominciato a far sto rumore dopo una decina di giorni dall'acquisto... ora sto attendendo che vengano a ritirarlo.
