@metallicat63 Hey man sorry to repost but his Dad died in 1996, during the Load tour.
His dad left the family when James was young though so maybe this song is about that and then him dying later. More pain.Since this was on the RELOAD LP you are probably right. Just a thought

Its about the torture and arrest that comes with having love with someone you'd rather not have in your life at all and the paradox of breaking free.
Love is control. Love, among other things, is a sharpened pin that can be used against the ones you abuse. That love locks you to them like a spell.
