I'm Vietnamese-born American and I wholeheartedly support same-sex marriage. I might be an exception to most of the people from my own ethnicity in America and probably my family although I was born and have lived in Vietnam for 16 years. I have witnessed discrimination enough in my conservative hometown and I am extremely disappointed again by California Prop8. Thousands of LGBT people who were harassed in their homeland fled to America in order to seek rights and Prop8 is a lie to them.

You betta work Judy Chu! Such an intelligent and heartful argument against Prop. 8. It's great to see Asian American leaders speak out against discrimination of other groups. Say no to hate. Say no to Prop 8!
