Where did you get those growlers from in the background? I have the same ones and I got mine from crow peak brewery in spearfish, SD. Nice vid. I just ordered a smooth nut brown ale from midwest supplies for a christmas beer.
Nicely done: very clear. I am using similar methods to brew a hoppy ale (not quite an IPA), and the results have been great. Thanks for showing the decoction mash. Is this step typical of brown ales?
I have never decoction mashed before. It looked like you brought about a gallon of your mash to a boil, grains and all? If so, aren't you worried about extracting tannins? Good video by the way!
