Here is a performance from one of the world's premier bassist's, Keith Horne. Here he is performing his own composition, "Bass Ball", with the Cameron Jazz Orchestra, circa 1995.
Used to live in Richmond back in the early 90's. Saw Secrets at some small club I can't remember the name of. Yes they were stellar! Keith did some time in Trisha Yearwood's band and now I think he plays for Luke Bryan. Another killer player who nobody knows. Shame. This dude needs to be up front with his own orchestra behind him. I'd pay to see that. Luke Bryan? Not interested. Oh well as a working musician myself I can relate. Gotta pay the bills.
I caught Secrets a couple of times in Richmond back in the day - had to love hearing Keith, Tim Reynolds, Robert Jospé, and John D'Earth all in one room. This tune sounded great then and it's still fun to hear it again.
Kieth Horne is definitely the best bassist I know, also seated to his left is one of the best guitar players in the world Redd Volkart & Pedal Steel Player Paul Franklin. A virtual who's who of Nashvilles Best. All A-List Musicians. WOW!
A truly Monster!!!

I saw Keith play with Tim Reynolds' jazz band, Secrets, at a dive bar in Harrisonburg, Va in 1988. He used a 4 string bass then and it was amazing!!!
