Buzz: Unboxing Apple's Mac Pro system on video and going over the specs and contents included in the box. Was Snow Leopard included with this 2009 Mac Pro that we received on Thursday August 27th? (1 day before Snow Leopard hits stores) or will it be empty and will we be forced to buy the upgrade?

Specs: 8 CORE 2.26GHZ , 8GB RAM, ATI HD4870 Graphics Card, RAID, 2 640GB HDD's.

  • You couldn't have waited one more day and saved yourself $10?

  • I ordered it online 2 weeks before, it was custom built. a few days after I ordered online, they announced the release date, which was supposed to be mid september :L and the mac pro was finally shipped 3 days prior to release of Snow Leopard, the apple ppl online said it would come included...oh well!

  • Im not surprised Snow Leopard isnt in the package. Those boxes were packed a while ago, and SL only came out today. But nice unboxing dude. Show us more vids of the installation, speed tests and stuff:) Cheers

  • It was built last week and shipped 3 days ago, many people have already received the discs yesterday and 2 days before SL was to be released. The disc should've come included.

  • and thanks for the sub! We will look into more vids with this system!

  • @TheAppleReviewGuy Well I guess the only advantage is that he saved money going directly to the Mac Pro lol but yeah it was a big leap of faith for him.

  • You took a huge leap of faith getting a Mac Pro as your first Mac haha, no turning back now! Awesome computer.

  • @shawntriedandtrue You can use Apple's Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI adapter to use a maximum of 3 monitors and Snow Leopard doesn't suck it's the fastest OS I've ever used and I have used Windows 98, Me, 2000, XP, Vista, 7, Mac OS X Leopard and Snow Leopard

  • Why would you jUmp right from a PC to a Mac pro? I went PC, Macbook, MacBook Pro, Mac Pro

  • whats so good about this !!!

  • can it play f.e.a.r and crisis to its maxamum?

  • What could you possibly use 6 USB ports for? And only one DVI port? No dualies for you. Snow Leapord sucks anyway, you lucked out.

  • your first mac and straight away a Mac Pro :o. Doing good :P

  • That comment was way off. Sorry. But the 8-Core Mac Pro has 8 Physical Core's and 16 Virtual, and it is a i7. I am hoping for the new i7 Chip's to be put in the Mac Pro. There probably trying to figure out how to cool it though. I was adding them to show another person, what type of power it had. He was asking something like how much better is a i7 compared to a core 2 duo. Thanks for correcting me though.

  • you don't ad up freqeunties . never ever . and 8 cores doenst mean two procesors , it means you got 8threads , but there are just 4 physical core, that is if it's an i7 (witch i have so i know . )
