I've recently gotten into many fights with a friend of mine, we're both suffering because i can't make them happy.. They lash out at me because of it as well, neither if us truly want to let go of the other but it's leading that direction.. Thich Nhat Hanh's words truly spoke to me today and now i will do what he says.

if the happiness of other depens on me this is not love but a dependance.
thich nhat speaks on family level.and what he says in this level is correct.
husband tries to make the wife happy and the wife otherway around.
thich nath is a mystic and his happiness is independant. real love is freedom.thich nhat should teach the love that he is practicing..dont give me fish teach me how to catch fish !so teach me how to be happy without being dependant to the other.real love is FREEDOM OR MOKSHA !

I have read some of Thich Nhat Hanh's books and love to see his lessons hear. I am going to become a parent soon and our capacity to love is the most important gift that we have. Blessings on Thich Nhat Hanh. Inspirational.
