Oh my goodness. I am just sick at the loss of all those tomato plants and the other plants they ate and damaged! And the nerve to even come up on the deck! If your latest fence doesn't keep them out, then I guess a field dressing will be in order. Please learn the cross-bow, though!

It may be time to invest in a cross bow! :(

If you need some recipes for venison, I have plenty. (Neck roast, jerky, breakfast tenderloin medallions, etc.) :)

sorry about the deer devastation, could you simply put up some motion sensor lights ?

Just think of it as organic pruning. But really that has to be discouraging I hope the plants will recover.

I have deer, groundhogs and squirrels coming in the yard daily now. Just waiting for them to drop a bomb on my little patch. Oh, and now, the bluejays that I was hoping would pester the squirrels are pestering the plants instead :-( Hopefully you'll find a way to stop your invaders.

@mediamaker2000 The electric fence is up and HOT now! We'll see how that works.

Stymye, several folks have recommended the motion sensor lights. I may give them a try.

You're lucky. No truce for me. They eat my peaches AND my garden. There's not a peach within 6 feet of the ground! But there's a nice bed of peach pits looking like mulch around the base of the tree. :)

I'm with you mhpgardener. But that means I've got to get up at 4:00 AM, sit in my 16'x20' "deerstand" (aka:deck) with my Remington 7400 and then wake up all the neighbors when I execute the critter. ...Need to learn bowhunting.
