it seems like a straight freak out at the end but it's oddly fun to listen to.. perhaps it sums up the frustration of the era... exhilarating and pleasurable freedom but no patience for much structure. I love the bit with davy jones singing at the end.. the last 5 mins is wild but kind of interesting. interesting to see nesmith's son and ahmet zappa collaborating on tv themes now!!! also Davy Jones was said to be a good drummer and sometimes played them in concert.

Listen to the Band ending is Still Amazing. I still find it hard to believe the this aired on NBC in 1969. I would have paid to see the look on my Grandparents faces if the tuned in by accident ;-)

all you need to know is that this is great stuff by talented people - the top of stuff Lady Gaga THINKS she is doing or and not even getting close to.
