@jamima444 But why does the universe need to know it exists? We can't be projecting our infantile emotional responses onto something as vast as the universe and say that it got lonely. And purpose is also an illusion... created out of the fear of purposeless-ness. We keep thinking we're going somewhere, out to achieve something as a species. It's an ever-blooming lotus. There is no going where we've already been and what always has been.

All I see is a bunch of people trying to sound over intelligent by saying stuff like "quantum physics", "matter", "reality", "fractals","dense state" and other things mixed with mumble jumble. I bet most of the people on this video can't even solve a classical mechanics problem, even less a quantum mechanics one.

I agree with this to an extent, but I do think consciousness is a by-product of the the external world and not the other way around. It seems too unlikely that something so orderly can just exist by itself, I think it takes a very rare state of existence for consciousness to emerge and the right conditions.

But due to the holographic universe theory maybe the Universe really is mere 2D information (description) and the brain can turn it into a 3D world which in essence is an illusion

From my understanding,there are three types of science -

Science we are acknowledged (Known facts proven)

Science beyond our knowledge (Theories and sorts)

Science beyond consciousness and reality (Reality is holographic)

Humans interpret everything through five senses. What if what we sense is just a small piece of reality? What if we need a sixth seventh or fiftieth sense to grasp reality? If so, trying to figure out reality with vision for example is futile and silly.
