  • mountains were so beautiful, and scenic view,, thanks for the video.

  • No problem! Definitely one of my favorite stretches of freeway in the country.

  • wow this is so scenic. Would like to get that far south someday, but realistically i have no reason to go there. On a side note, how much money do u spend on gas driving all over the country? lol.

  • Geez, I don't even wanna get into calculating the amount I spent for gas, in 2009!

Fortunately, I have a 2009 Corolla that gets about 36 - 40 MPG on the freeway. That certainly helped in keeping the gas costs relatively low in the past year.

  • I drove cross-country in 2006 and this was one of my favorite parts of the route.

  • Awesomeness. Glad you were able to revive the memories of your trip, through my video. I agree, this is one of my favorite stretches of freeway, while driving across the country.

  • Have really enjoyed your road trip videos, thank you. I love desert highways that have dips in them; not just one or two...a whole succession of them. I have only traveled HWY 111 south of Indio Ca; along the Salton Sea coast that has a several mile stretch of dips; which is the result of the flash flood area of that part of desert. So, hint - hint...if you have any video of Hwy stretch of dips; be nice to see them in fast motion. Thanks for keeping your eyes on the road.

  • Hey just wanted to extend a thanks.I used to live in Abq.from 97 to 01 me and my folks were stationed there. If I'm lucky may be goin back this may right through there from wichita falls.I know once you get into new mexico there's some huge hills when I was down in 07 I had to fight 65mph winds head on through that pass, lol my ranger sport didn't like it lol

  • Beautiful video! Brought back some memories as I lived in Cedar Crest as a young child and went on many trips through the canyon. I recently went through at night and it was nice to see how things look during daytime. BTW, at about 3:20 you can see a sculpture of a Yucca plant on the right hand side of the interstate. This was lit up with changing colors at night and was pretty striking.

  • Yeah, I think it's called Texas Canyon. There are all these cool rock formations literally *at* the side of the road.
