I just now saw your reply. There is nothing ugly about PSE. It means Pidgin Signed English, which is a bridge between ASL and English. I wasn't criticizing my teacher, but when I'm trying to learn ASL structure, PSE is of little use to me. I can't advance or improve if I don't have exposure to ASL structure in the classroom. I hope that clarifies my comment. Mox
