There's a big difference between being a "silly hippie activist" and being environmentally active. People, especially accomplished ones, SHOULDN'T wait 'til the end of their career before speaking out. Just look at Leonardo DiCaprio. He's very involved in helping to save the environment, but he's no hippie either.
