  • LP is a mix of Chinese like Wing Chun from the province of Yunan, malay silat and little bit of Muay Thai as the founder (Pak Mat) has the skill of Muay Thai. Unlike traditional Malay silat, LP does not have technic like locking (kunci) and movement (bunga or dance). Other term relate to this martial art is 'buah pukul'. There are 2 similar martial arts in Malaysia namely 'Gayang Lima' and 'Silat Gerak Lian'.

  • mmg asalnya LP dari china...

  • sick silat with sick dubstep. you gotta love it

  • I really hate the music but this martial is great....

  • you must be kidding right? Wing Chun has feminine influence (you will realize it if you watch Wing Chun forms, especially Siu Lim Tao) but Lian Padukan hasn't, and Wing Chun basics are extremely different than Lian Padukan (look at Siu Lim Tao and you will see what I talk about).

  • If you watch both Wing Chun and Lian Padukan forms, u will notice significant difference.

  • i guess it shows the diversity of malaysia even in ancient times .... 1897+yunanese martial art85%+malay martial art15%(preservative element)= lian padukan. it's that simple to understand. it's probably one of the few roots of martial arts from china that have not watered down and well preserved in Malaysia.
