  • I would say that "witaj" would be more appropriate than "cześć". For underage people addressing their peers, close friends or some family members that would be ok but you can't say that to strangers.

    And "witaj" is far more easy to pronounce: veet-ai. And it sounds very natural when spoken by foreigners.

    On the other hand it is just cruel to even try to make the non-slavic foreigner say "cześć". It is painful to hear someone addressing you "cieć" afterwards;)
