This is a sample of how you might use Behavior Adjustment Training with a fearful dog on a walk. While Peanut is pretty much fine with adult humans, kids are still a challenge, and harder to find as volunteers. So we use BAT on walks whenever we see kids.

  • I see a lot of lip licks and ears back. So to me the dog looks pretty stressed. Is that okay? Or should it be more positive for the dog?

  • @hovawartvomsonnen Good question and good for you for noticing. I have considered taking this video down because of this, because it might make people push their dog too far. I should not have let Peanut go so close to the kids for this video, because his body language does show that he's nervous. My excuse is that I was filming and training at the same time. :)

  • How beautiful to see a dog being "heard" - instead of "whispered" to. Very cool how you keep everything so relaxed & light.
