Go Beto O'Rourke! More politicians should take a cue from this man. It's time to seriously reexamine the drug war, and face the reality of marijuana use, not adhere to hysterical myths that are perpetuated. Those that are well-intentioned in their opposition to marijuana legalization need to understand the facts, in the context of individual freedom, common sense, and economics.
How can one show support nationally for this cause?

I applaud beto o'rourke and the el paso city council for having the nerve to at least address this difficult topic. if anything the dialgoue will hopefully open up the doors to a resolution that might actually work compared to the unsuccesfull and laughable war on drugs that is currently takin place. hopefully somethin positive comes out of this and it is not simply swept under the rug again. good job.
