The aim of this project is to implement active noise control (ANC) system on a real-time processing platform. PC based National Instruments LabVIEW environment is chosen due to its flexible, easy and fast to develop, which is especially preferable for research and prototyping. Under this setup, various experiments tested the behavior of the Filtered-x LMS (FXLMS) adaptive algorithm when applied to active noise control in an enclosed area. The quality attenuations of noises are acquired to verify the theoretical predictions and performances of FXLMS ANC.
