September 11th Tribute Video

This is a tribute video that I made in 2001 during my senior year of High School. I had the opportunity to visit and film ground zero six months after the tragic events of 9/11. It was truly sobering to witness, up close and in person, the devastation and carnage that lied in the place where the twin towers once stood. I will never forget the countless parade of dump trucks carrying debris away from ground zero and knowing that the remains of the 2,603 victims were somewhere in that rubble. According to the Associated Press, the city identified over 1,600 bodies but was unable to identify the rest (about 1,100 people).

I will also never forget the pictures of lost love ones all hung up around ground zero. Upon returning from my trip, I remember finding a picture of my brother and myself taken less than a year earlier. The picture was taken atop the world trade center and it nearly gave me chills. I decided to put this video together as a tribute to all those lost during this tragic day. I have recently re-edited the footage I shot and added pictures/video in the beginning that were taken the day of 9/11 by various witnesses. The footage of ground zero was shot by myself exactly 6 months later.

9/11 was a terrible day, but that does not mean that there is no God. Sometimes God allows terrible things to happen to us, but He will always love us. God has already blessed this nation tremendously we should not forget that and turn our backs on Him. Instead we should put our hope and trust in Him to do what is best for this nation and the rest of the world, as well as in our personal lives.
