Wet Wilderness (1975)

In recent years the slasher film has become an old and venerable genre, the subject of extensive critical analysis. There was a time, though, when random violence tinged as it always seems to be with the odor of sex was considered the bottom of the barrel of cinematic expression. It seems to have taken the spiritual malaise associated with the 70s to get the genie of sex-violence out of the bottle and up onto the big screen. While the Italian masters of the giallo perfected the elements of sadistic slaughter, bottom-feeding American porn mavens led the way in the representation of graphic sex and violence. After Hours Cinema and 9th Avenue Explitation present two rare and rarely seen sexploitation shockers Wet Wilderness and Come Deadly both restored and presented for the first time on DVD.

Wet Wilderness (1975)

One of the cheapest, nastiest, creepiest, most disreputable little grindhouse flicks ever to make its way onto film reels. Sexist, racist, moronically simple yet weirdly entertaining, it is probably one of the most disturbing slasher prototypes of the pre-Halloween era, a potent blend of bad taste, sadistic violence, and sex. Three hippie chicks and a dude are hiking in the woods. Two of the chicks pair off and wander into a clearing. A lesbian encounter ensues, but the dykes find themselves confronted by a cackling nut-job sporting a yellow ski mask and brandishing a two-foot machete. Barking out orders in a Southern accent, he soon has the four hikers performing his sexual bidding with the threat of his machete looming.

this is actually a hardcore xxx movie if i remember so if your looking for a "slasher" you might get more then you were looking for: same with "come deadly"
