  • How do you control the brain box with power functions?

  • @MathewAlden: Google "Power Functions Remote Control Sensor" to see the method that this project uses to control the NXT from the PF remote (Method 1)

  • @nxtprograms Will the short circuit kill your mindstorm or just make it think the sensors are going off?

  • @MathewAlden: It stresses the electronics, which have circuitry to protect them, but eventually it may reach a breaking point, so I wouldn't try it.

  • 2 xl motors are connected by a ir receiver that you can control with your ir remote control. the saw and the stabler (with a adapter wire) are connected by another ir receiver that you can control with your ir remote control. both the ir receivers ar connected on a battery box. i have now done the same thing. but, where must i connected the other adapter wire? to one ir receiver? and for what purpose is the ultrasonic sensor? can it go in automatic mode? can someone explain me this?

  • The saw is just another PF motor on the blue lever of the 2nd channel (2nd receiver). The stabber is controlled by the red lever on the 2nd channel/receiver, by using an adapter wire to the NXT port 1, it looks like a touch sensor when you press the red lever, then a program on the NXT controlls the stabber when it sees a touch sensor press.

  • I did not look very intimidating at first, but after the subsequent reign of destruction, if we added sensors and made it self aware, it would be unstoppable. Haha. Good build, seriously! :)
