The most anticipated series debut of the summer television season occurs on July 25, 2010, with the fourth season commencement of AMC's Mad Men. TV Guide reports that the third season premiered to 2.8 million viewers, and according to Hollywood Reporter's "The Live Feed", saw a 57% increase in viewership over the rest of the season. The series was recently rewarded with 17 Primetime Emmy Award nominations, including Outstanding Drama Series, which Mad Men ended up winning last year.

There are two main story lines that fans will be interested to gain answers about as the new season begins. One of them concerns the dissolution of the marriage between the show's lead character Don Draper, played by Emmy nominated Jon Hamm, and his wife Betty Draper, portrayed by fellow Emmy nominee January Jones. Costars John Slattery and Elisabeth Moss were each both nominated in supporting categories as well.

Among the questions being asked on fan sites such as MadMenShow.com are: will Betty end up with Henry and is she out of Don's life for good? And who will take her place as Don's love interest? The character of Don Draper is based upon famous ad man Draper Daniels, who created the Marlboro Man ad campaign in the 1950's.

The other main story line concerns the forming of a new agency called Sterling, Cooper, Draper, and Pryce. Among the questions being raised about that are: what does the future hold for this tenuous alliance? What about those left behind like Ken and Smitty?

The buzz about the show has grown so quickly that numerous fan sites and podcasts have formed. To that end, July 26 will mark the debut of This Week In Mad Men on ThisWeekIn.com with Lon Harris and Jacob Burch. AMC reports on their website that they will be hosting a premiere party in Times Square when the episode airs on July 25 at 10PM Eastern.
