sharpe's indian trilogy is excellent. however i can't understand what possible reason was there to move it on tv. to a period after waterloo? sharpe mentions his indian service when in europe, and has a later adventure in chile that could have been filmed also (if they wanted him post-waterloo). the indian novels deserved accuracy and a younger actor in a series all their own.

@BaldGrace it's set in 1818 (i think) in any case, it's after waterloo... but you've probably already seen it

I have read most of the books and seen all the shows so i was really looking forward to sharpes peril. What a shame it turnd out to be poor. The writers messed up big time on this one! maybe why itv have dropped the series until further notice.
