After having actually researched this, you'll find that the sun is not warming up. It's actually cooler this solar cycle (every 11 years) than previous cycles.
Piece of advice: Look up and verify your arguments before posting them.
Yeah, I've heard this argument... however, What does it matter if its the sun or the earth getting hotter? That's like saying a train is coming at us rather than us going towards the train. One way or another the seasons aren't acting like business as usual.
we're already globally connected economically. whens the last time you bought something that said "made in America". A carbon tax to raise revenue to create clean air solutions should not be looked at as impossible or unsound With all the outsourcing and shipping we do it wouldnt be hard at all to get the world to comply. Its perfectly logical given todays economic climate.
If we had a tax that applies to everyone in this planet (6.6 Billion people) it would be unlawful to pass it in a democracy unless the majority of the world population approves of it, (not just the countries represented in the U.N).
Furthermore world taxation would be a symbolic and important step towards achieving a one world government, something which is assume the majority of the world population is against.
In a world where our leaders have shown to be unable to manage the money derived from a single country, you now assume that they are able to manage a tax that would cover all 194 countries in this planet?
"our leaders" is a cop out. get off of youtube and start talking to your neighbors and ppl on the street like I do. We need to get serious before they'll take us serious. the hippies ended the vietnam war. You think we're weaker then the hippies?
