It's got everything that the Denis Wick SM mouthpiece range has, plus more! The rim is smoother, so it allows you to play for longer (tried and tested!!) and it's supposed to give you a cleaner sound. Just shop around and see what you can find

Depends what you want. Shoichiro has just in the last couple of weeks moved from Yamaha to Besson. Yamaha are very good at reliability, but they give off a far brighter sound than any of the "british" manufacturers. I would go for either a York, or a Besson personally. Keen on trying one of the new Geneva instruments though.
In terms of mouthpiece, the Steven Mead one is good, but it's your own personal choice. I just moved over to an Alliance (steven Mead's new mouthpiece). cont...

that was just beautiful. can i ask how do you prepare for that nice sweet euphonium sound? I need help in selecting a euphonium. right ow i have the yamaha 842s on top. not sure though. oh and possibly a denis wich steven meade mouthpiece, or a 51D shilke?

lol thats not me playing. As for the mouthpiece, i recommend denis wick. it gave me a more open sound and my flexibilty got alot clearer. if u can try them be4 u buy the mouthpiece that would probabl be the best
