This is my 20 gallon tropical tank. It 3 regular Tiger Barbs, one really cool colored Tiger Barb. Two Green Tiger Barbs, One Albino Tiger Barb, and one Black Ruby Barb. The Black Ruby barb shoals with the Tigers. He is very peaceful unless I drop food for my bottom feeder fish, then he gets very greedy and will chase any of the barbs all over the tank if they get near it. I will post a video of him chasing the other fishes next =)

Check out the Hi Def version for a nice crisp view.

  • @Fishplanebusmusiclol - I recently found out what it is called. It is a very rare Gold-Green Tiger Barb. If it weren't for another video on youtube I wouldn't know that. That is the only other place online that has them. If you feed them bloodworms and high quality food consistently, they will start to turn blue. So it's obviously not dyed. I have seen dyed ones, they have very faint stripes, and their color fades. Check them out on youtube! =)

  • @TheRdjj4 Oh dear. Unfortunately it sounds like your Tiger Barb is dyed. I hate to be the bringer of bad news but this can drastically shorten their lifespan. It is a very cruel procedure :( I may also say the Tiger Barb in this video is dyed. It is not encouraged in the fishkeeping world.

  • Nice! I've got one Tiger Barb that is yellow with green stripes and purple fins! He's the head of the school, I think he's an albino crossed with a green.

  • i got same colosseum

  • @SPART4N1171 And to add to the last comment if there is any chance of survival for tiger barbs in the tank there needs to be a big school (8+ most likely and the more the merrier)

  • @SPART4N1171 well a full grown oscar will need at least a 60 gallon (2 will need a 75+)... oscars cant coexist with barbs when the oscars grow beyond 7 inches. Even before that its iffy and a risk. They will eat the tiger barbs when their mouths get big enough. And the barbs could possibly be harrassed to death before that. Oscars are VERY hard to pair up with tank mates

  • @NYYROCK Hey, I have 2 oscar fish that are both 3-4 inches. Do you think that I can add tiger barbs? I have a 40 gallon by the way.

  • @Weezyfan82 5 is a minimum

  • i had 7 teger barbs reserved at my LPS. picking them up tomorrow to go with my 2 jewel cichlids, red tail shark and Pleco. great fish. verry energetic and fun to watch.
