Problem is, the patches aren't the same, signal-chain-wise. Don't even know whether he's using the Ax's Bogner model, let alone whether the Boss has one.

I think I like the Axe FX into the loop of the Bogner best, with the actual Bogner just barely behind it. Might be the settings, but the AFX in the loop has just a bit more grit and presence to it which adds a bit more edge, the Bogner sounds just a bit darker. Though you could probably achieve a similar sound with a Boss SD-1 in front of the Bogner. I actually liked the COSM over the AFX direct...and this was with my eyes closed.

Real Bogner XTC wins hands down! I do like the COSM tones for something totally different.

The real Ecstasy won. Axe model into it's return and cab was a close second. But you compared the POD's Uberschall model. Different Bogner.

@089Ray this is the original axe fx, not the ultra (which is better) and not the axe-fx II (which is better still). This is the original that is discontinued. Wait until more people start getting the axe-fx II you will start to see less and less amps. these are the future.

Thanks for the comparison. Boss sounded awful, Axe direct wasn't bad, Axe into Bogner loop was good, Bogner was killer!
