There was another gesture separating "us" from "them" which was totally missed by these guys. It is considered really rude to touch somebody on his shoulder like seen at 2:28 and 2:32. (you take some sort of power from them). Athough these white people were interested to interpret gestures they totally failed on that one. Furthermore, these Beami understood and replied in Pidgin (meri, pikinini, I kam) so they couldn't have been so isolated as stated in the video. Nevertheless, very interesting.

Oh, I'm going. people of forests, becareful. white man captured and sold you in the past. whiteman came to see what you have around 1900 around africa and since then they constantly try to bring 'democracy' to the lands which have "item of interests". you may be visited by the tide of "democracy bringing" soon.
