Actually, Ian Gillan (Deep Purple frontman) did the original concept album in 1970 but couldn't take the part I think due to other commitments but if you watch Ted Neeley and yes this film is now dated; boy does he give it some welly. I think, as a musician myself, he really is fab.

@NyxRedvines Go read the Gospels. John 2:13-16, he made himself a whip and beat people until they left the Temple. They had turned the Temple of God, which was to be a place of worship, into a bazaar, where money changers were ripping people off by charging them extortionist rates on currency conversion.
