The best years of Rock were the early 1970's. Ronson and Bowie were great.

sadly mick never had mainstream recognition like Page, Clapton and even Randy Rhodes, but he was such a unique player..the way he held those notes!!!..truly brilliant. RIP Mick Ronson.

    This is a gem video.

    David Bowie + Mick Ronson.

Teenage girls singing out lyrics of 'Moonage Daydream".

I'm getting old because I think it was a good time.

Tony Visconti, in the DVD commentary, said that he and a bunch of others who hung around Haddon Hall at the time all had a hand in sanding the top of the guitar.

Ronson is playing a very old Les Paul Goldtop (probably mid 50s), which he has modified and painted to look like a more modern Les Paul Special/Standard

He had to really. He stopped playing Rock and Roll soon after this. There were hardly any guitars even in his songs from about 1975-1980

Yeah, but he wasn't famous for very long. Maybe 2-3 years in the mainstream.

Guys like Page, Clapton were having hits in big bands for 20+ years
