  • You are right about the Harleys . Tank way small / ride ( short wheel base = lumber wagon) . I had an old heavy Vtwinn & because of the weight ...rode like a limo but I couldn't keep it running ....old & worn out . Check out e-Bay ; you might find an 1000 Concours ( I have a blue 2006, simular to your in the picture ; bought it on ebay BARGOON) . Problem with Kawasaki ...VIBRATIONS !!! Good luck .

  • @MrJujitsu62

Thanks for the advice on the Connie but i have already owned a 2006 Concours 1000. I have to try something new. I am not one of these bikers that only sticks with one style or brand. That being said I enjoyed the 1000 for the short time I had it.

  • You forgot to mention when you were getting interviewed that some SMUCK smeared your motorcycle & your ass , all over the road . Can you still have a Planet tour on the Greyhound bus ?? MAYBE SUZUKI OR YAMAHA will come to your rescue & help you out with a bike !! GOOD P.R. hint hint !!

  • @MrJujitsu62

Thanks for your input. I am avoiding being sponsored by a factory as I run the risk of being a brand whore for just one make. I like too many types of bikes to just let my show become one big commercial for one brand.

I also wish to avoid buying anything I have owned in the past. The 1000 Connie is a great bike but the Bandit was so much better in many ways...except weather protection.

  • I picked up a GSX1250 SEA last August... it's a great bike for sure. Love it man, you might want to reconsider ;)

  • @rhithyn I appreciate that but I did have over 62,000km of fun on mine. Getting another one would be disrespectful to SuzyB (RIP)

I'd like to try something else for now.

  • @DarylMakk : Yamaha makes a nice 1300FJR but be sure if you buy one that Yamaha has fixed it's little exhaust valve lubrication problem . Seems like #1 exhaust valve didn't get any lube a few years ago . This problem may have been fixed but if you hear a bit of clicking/tapping from the valve cover ( with a COLD engine ) ...run like hell . Otherwise the bike is spectacular . Goes like a scared rabbit / quiet / smooth and looks smart also . This was from around 2005-ish

  • @DarylMakk I can understand man. I'm loving it and just wanted to share the love ;)

  • Great job guys! I'm excited to see the show progressing, keep up the good work.
