From debut solo release Mike Finnigan lp 1976- Mike is a well known session musician who has played for many years with Crosby Stills and Nash, along with many others. A song that shows his voice at it's best. Just plain good music. Listen and enjoy!

  • I have been following Mike since 1965 in Wichita. I have always loved this song. This is one of America's musical treasures. He is one of those guys that if he couldn't play at all, could sell his chops and if he couldn't sing could sell his licks. A fabulous player and a fantastic singer. If this song doesn't move you I feel sorry for you and hope that someday it will.

  • @john9944 Wow-Wish I could have put it that well. Thanks for the fine comment. You nailed it on the head.

  • @john9944 Could not agree more with you. He will always be an all time favorite of mine-even if few others know who he is. Makes him all that more special.

    thanks for the comment.

  • Do you have MY MY MY

  • I have Cry Cry Cry-not familiar with My My My-was it recorded and if so when-I have serfs, finnigan and wood, 2 solos on columbia and the unreleased closure lp by finnigan and wood. but it is not on any of them

  • I ask Mike if he ever performed this anymore. He said wow thats an old one, havent done that in years.

  • yeah he is one o f the best darn blues voices and players around, but he can do a whole lot of other things too and this is a prime example.

    Thanks for the comment.

  • @kcshocker11 Its most certainly Cry cry cry...MF never did a tune called My my my...Its the Finnigan and Wood version of the famous Bobby blue bland tune!

  • Best tunes, best singer, best---period. I'm still pissed we can't get these records on CD. Anybody have "Southern Ladies", "Ace in the Hole", "I Could Never Leave You", Break Out the Bottle"...? Or just anything!! His music was in very heavy rotation in the soundtrack of my life since the '70's, Thanks a million times.

  • @hoopskmccann-I still am in frequent communication with Finn after all these years. He has been on a European tour with Joe Cocker. You may have heard this but one of my favorite songs by Finn is "Sweet Misery." If you haven't heard it for a while it is on Youtube. Look it up under "Mike Finnigan KAKE 1992." Is the hoops in your name related to basketball? I am a basketball skills coach and work with high level players. My partner is a former player as well as a former NBA head coach.

  • @hoopskmccann My My My was on the Finnigan and Wood album. If you have it PLEASE post it. One of my favorite songs ever

  • Maybe it is Cry Cry Cry, if you get a chance post, love to hear it . Thanks for your efforts. Mike Rocks! Jerry Hahn Brotherhood DVD available at Jerrys website if interested.
