The only thing she's demonstrated to me as "the first woman to head anchor network news" is that women too can be untalented puppets who read the teleprompters their corporations tell them to read.

What's so strange to me is that Katie Couric became a national sensation because she is the kind of cheerful person people want to listen to in the *morning*.
In the evening, they're frazzled and exhausted and they want to listen to some calming grandparent like Walter Cronkite.
I hope she's enjoyed it.
As they say, six million fans is about four million more than Republican-favorite Glenn Beck had.

They got rid of Rather for shitty ratings... and Couric has only made things worse.
When she's gone... I just might consider watching them again... we'll see how Pelley does.
