A Letter to the Lovely Sarah Palin (Day 8 - 1/8/11)

I do something that I didn't think I'd ever do on my vlog: Get on a soapbox. The shooting of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords today, and Sarah Palin's involvement in it pushed me on, though.

@SpyroTDragon And her mother took her to meet Rep. Giffords because she thought she would get a kick out of it, because she was just elected to the student council in her school. Definitely the most tragic thing I've heard in a while.

You know now people are saying Oh we must unite the fact is Sara Painintheass and Glen Prick and Fox news are responsible for the hate in this country. the immigration issue especialy in Arizon has become toxic with there words of hate and bigotry. her people are saying that her metaphor of don't retreat reload was based on her love of hunting BULLSHIT if anyone saw sara pailins alaska she didn't even know how to reload her father did it for her. she should of got the bullet!

@elmajfudd Be careful with what you say. I agree that Sarah Palin and Glen Beck definitely contribute to the hate in this country, but to say that the ex-Governor should have gotten the bullet is no better than what she did.

@whateveryou8 I wouldn't go that far. Neither of them wanted anything like this to happen. However, their actions are incredibly irresponsible, and it's because of those actions that people think that doing stuff like this is okay.

When I made this video, not a single cable news network had mentioned Palin's list. Someone brought it up on Twitter, and I did my own research and came to to my own conclusions from there.

I didn't read your post thoroughly and missed the sarcasm, hence the "brainwashing" comment.

I was told once by my editor, not to write sarcastic and assume readers would "Get it" . I fell into that catagory when I read your post, I missed the sarcasm.

Sorry, I missed the sarcasm the first time. My editor told me once not to write "backwards" because he warned me people would take me seriously. I didn't believe him and did it anyway and ended up sitting at a Nazi picnic ( I was a reporter at the time) who was talking about something I wrote in jest and took it all seriously. That convinced me. Hats off to your family in the service, thank them for us who still know why they do it.

Matty, Are you kidding me or yourself? You are the "only one saying this"? Everyone and his dog is beating this drum. You were told by the Media about the Crosshairs thing, and you reacted predictably. Some people actually think that Sarah Palin had a picture of Gabrielle in crosshairs.  So far the shooter has been profiled as a "pot smoking loner" by Christian Amanpour, who did the footwork to find out while you were repeating this pap. Poor boy, what you gonna do when they come for you?

I find it hard to believe that brainwashing is a big issue with you. Does it bother you that the exact words you are penning here and think are your own are all over the internet coming out of all the drones mouths exactly as you all have been programmed to respond? Perhaps Palin will be 'shot down' in her aspirations to 'target' the next election. I hope she 'aims' to stay in Wasilla and 'reload' her ambitions. Keep her in your 'sights' and keep a 'crosshair' on the Tea Party.
