The Hobbit: Part II/'bridge film' Trailer (fan made)

KEEP IN MIND THIS WAS MADE YEARS AGO...

This was my idea (based on what Peter Jackson has hinted at) of what the Hobbit "sequel" might be about (but now they're just dividing the Hobbit into two parts so this trailer is even more irrelevant):

1. The White Council (Gandalf, Saruman, Elrond, Galadriel, etc.) driving the Necromancer (Sauron) out of his stronghold Dol Guldor in Mirkwood.

2. Aragorn's back story.

3. Gollum hunting down Biblo and eventually being captured by Aragorn and the elves of Mirkwood.

The movie would be about the 60 years between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The White Council stuff would overlap with The Hobbit, and part of the Gollum and Aragorn stuff would overlap a bit with the beginning of The Lord of the Rings. I assume there'll be other storylines, but this is what I think it'll mainly be about. I have no idea how they're gonna make it into a movie with an actual plot that people that aren't obsessed with Tolkien will be able to watch.

The date should be 2012 now.

The name "The Return of the Shadow" was one of the original ideas for the title for "The Fellowship of the Ring", and I thought it kind of fit with the whole idea of Sauron being discovered in Mirkwood and him going to Mordor.

This was made before much info was available about The Hobbit "Sequel". There still isn't much now, but Del Toro and Jackson have said they'll most likely focus on one story line.

great video. sauron as necromancer and the white counsil is a good story to make a script. but i dont think it would be as good as the lord of the rings trilogy.

I think Its better if they split the movie in two parts. It makes room for more details and such regarding the story. Its much better with two really good parts then one bad..and its also the same princip with the last Harry Potter movie.

@MrSkux42 @MrSkux42 could be Arathorn his father. Aragorn in the books is really old. He gave the apearance of being young. It wasn't touched on much in the movies. So yeah he'd be about 27.
