I used to live in Manteno, Il. My kids used to go to the old asylum(Diversitech)sp?, and scare the crap out of each other. It is a very eerie place. It wouldn't surprise me at all if it were haunted.

I lived in the rented apartments in 2008 within these grounds. It was neat and I wish I could have explored more while I was living there but I was too afraid to go alone.

I was just here last night. Definitely the creepiest place I've ever investigated. Upon leaving, right before we exited the building, we heard a huge BANG as if somebody had thrown something in the other room. There were only four of us there, and we were all next to each other at this time.
