this is a "how not to" video. building code requires smallest shake to be minimum 4 inches and not slot over slot. no defects in shakes (you cant use the cheapest shakes possible to waterproof someones home). this is also a video documenting your contravention of fall protection safety legislation. not wise to advertise safety crimes and the substandard quality of your work. without this video you might be able to convince some homeowners that you do good work.
blatant crack over crack upper right hand corner.....plus they didnt measure for the top course to come out at 10 inches....more great mexican workmanshp
zandeman is right..my grandma would be faster. im paid by the square,,,im guessing these amigos are making about 4 bucks an hour the rate theyre going
Are they applied properly? No. (Note no spacing between some shakes, nails less than 1 1/2" above exposure lines sometimes, nails within 1 1/2" of edges sometimes, more than two nail per shakes every time, exposure line is not marked, not to mention SLOOOOOW!) I put my first roof up when I was 12 years old, it is still in better shape than this one 30 years later, and will outlast it for sure.
Wow! I mean, REALLY, WOW! Is this like a how NOT to video? If I was the home-owner I would be using this video in a lawsuit against the roofing installer, having the roof torn off and replaced for free. I just don't know where to start! Are these certified shakes? Definitely not. Would they meet quality standards for even the lowest grade shakes? NO!
