This is a few minutes of the late stages of euglena undergoing binary fission. Flagellate formed, but animals moved away before final separation occurred

  • How did you record this from the microscope?

  • @idiotkrati I used a phoenix trinocular scope with a photo port where I could simply plunk my camera. However you can always get an "F mount" and attach a camera to the eyepiece. That is if you are interested in "trying this at home"

  • How do you get stuff like this on a slide?

  • I use a little plastic pipetter. An eyedropper works too. 1 or 2 drops is sufficient.
