This is a video of myself playing the amazing 'Mother And Child Divided' by Porcupine Tree. It's a song from the 'Deadwing' sessions and can be found on the DVDA version of the 'Deadwing' album and on their latest live DVD called 'Arriving Somewhere'.

  • nice job man : ) why is it that steve wilson always leaves gems like this off the studio albums? he did it with futile as well. gavin's drumming is sick on this song. also noticed the meshuggah poster! do you own an ibanez 7 or 8?

  • @schpleeb I have an Ibanez 7321 (it's also in the background ;) )

  • How many PRS's do you have?

  • a few ;)

  • I can't really hear you playing over the song.....the actual guitar in the recorded track is overshadowing your own playing. Why don't you just upload the song without the actual song playing and just have you play?

  • i don't think i have it without backingtrack...

  • @TheSMH nice! I just sold mine as it happens. beast of a guitar but I needed the cash and didn't want to part with my bc rich bich : (

  • Well, you're quite the lucky lad there!

...me stuck trying to cover PT on my Squier Strat... xD

    Nice job!

  • tone doesnt sound quite right... and like the other guy said, you can hardly hear your playing over the guitar. might wanna sort the mix out abit better, always make sure u can hear your guitar clearly.. we only need a very quiet track in the background. People always keep doing covers where they might as well be miming along to the song (i know ur not but still) cant hear enough of ur guitar.

  • interesting choice of hollow-body for this song...
