Just curious to know how Americans would feel about an Iraqi armoured vehicle driving through New York, for example, like that. But I'm sure that is somehow different....

Have you stupid idiots know what he kept on driving? If he didn't drive, chances are he will run into insurgent bombing so he can't stop driving. That is the procedure. Unless you been to the situation on his shoes and why he's driving and where insurgency was rampart and high, please shut up. Almost none of you civilians here have been in the military and in Iraq.

This was an effort to train Iraqis to stay out of the way of american military vehicles. It probably saved quite a few lives- both Iraqi and American.

@TimAber57 I know perfectly well what you said. It is just such a remote hypothetical that it does not serve much of a rhetorical purpose. Of course Americans would be upset If Iraqi vehicles did this in New York. But in this bizarre alternate reality, I assume these Iraqi invaders are concerned about being ambushed by some sort of radical insurgency, and most reasonable people (including the Americans) would be forced to concede that they have no choice other than to behave this way.

People do not seem to understand that they are not dong this to be assholes. They are doing it to avoid getting shot at. And of course if someone did shoot at them, some of those civilian drivers might be caught in the crossfire. Its just safer for everyone this way. They are actually doing a good job, to. They could be cops, the way they drive!

@TimAber57 Well how do Americans feel about emergency vehicles forcing there way through traffic? I'll tell you: we are pretty much fine about it and if we are to stupid to get out of the way and get hit, we basically blame ourselves. And Iraqis, I imagine, are the same way. I would also guess that the average Iraqi watching this would say "haven't those morons learned by now to get out of the way of big honking military vehicles?"
