You are quite right. If someone wants $100,000 for vet bills to their dog, would a judge be ok with that? The bills have to be reasonable. I can see $1800 ...maybe, but if she had wanted $3000, then I'd flinch at that.

If the defendant had hit the lady's car and the garage wanted $4,000 to repair the damage but she could get another car of the same value for $2,000 would, the judge is only going to award $2,000 and not the garage bill of $4,000. The dog is "property" under the law. So, why is she entitled to get more to fix the dog than it would cost to buy a new dog? What if the vet bill were $20,000 for a jaw transplant? Does she get it? Why is dog property different from auto property? Any lawyers watching?

Dog may have been on a leash... but two things. 1) It was HER house. 2) As I said the dog may have been on a leash... but if the pitbull actually managed to go after and attack the poodle... then that means you didn't even do a damn thing to try and pull your dog back and stop its attack. So you really have no room to try and say otherwise.

Knowing how MM feels about Pit Bulls why would anyone choose to go on her show? Gotta be the money I guess, these guys got lucky she usually tears 'em up. She said once that she and her children watched a neighbors Pit eat her cat. She also played a role in the Miami-Dade county Pit Bull ban.
