In my opinion English is the best I mean Western is ok but English I find is more fun for me just my opinion you did a great job!

i ride western and i have ridden english i like them the same. oh and maybe our saddle was too small if you stomach would hit the horn when trotting and loping. everyone has there opinion.

@22CrazyCowgirl I've already figured that out because i've been riding english since forever, and i like it better than western. 1. It's lighter 2. It's easier to tack up a horse with English than Western and 3. Because when i'm trotting or cantering on a horse i hate it when my stomach hits the horn. OW. Thank you though.

@Nintendogsfreak11 yes, it feels a lot different to ride english than western, and it doesn't matter your skill level to ride english, but most people start of western, because it has a horn to hold on too
im an englsih rider through and through but i found a good deal on a western saddle, she says the stirrups and stirrup leathers need to be replaced, is that posiible to do for a western saddle? About how much would it cost to do so?

@MyMonty55 as far as i know it is possible. I'm 100% sure on the stirrups, just might take a little research to make sure the stirrup leathers(i believe they are called fenders in western ;) ) will fit the saddle. stirrups are about $40ish and up, i have no idea on the fenders though. sorry. hope that helped some

Is sky at all barn sour? Also is that saddle new?

@888keegan She became a little heard bound after spending 2 years with just the same horse in the pasture all the time. She is at a larger barn now and is not as bad, she is a little heard bound, but i wouldn't call her barn sour. Shows have become a little difficult to do especially when there a few other horses from my barn there, but not nearby Sky.
It depends on what you think is new, in this video it was about 3 or 4 years old i think.

Nice video. One thing I noticed is you never brushed your horse before putting the blanket on. Her head looked like it was a bit muddy, maybe her body was too. My daughter always brushes her horse before she saddles him up.

@poodletess Yeah, you should always groom your horse before you ride because dirt that's left under their saddle and girth can rub sore spots. However, we knew as we were tacking up that we weren't really riding, and we didn't tighten the girth a lot, so it wasn't a big deal. The saddle just sat on her back for a few minutes and then we took it off. When we ride, we make sure to brush them. But thank you for being concerned for the horse :)
