  • "Adventures with Grapenut" is a great book that appeals to both adults and children. I have purchased two copies as gifts and they are being enjoyed across three generations. The photography is amazing - water droplets crisply visible on the sleek Loon feathers. The story not only entertains, and you find yourself rooting the whole time for Grapenut, but provides information about these amazing birds and how we can interact respectfully with nature. I highly recommend this book!

  • What a wonderful and special relationship between the photographer and his subjects. John's story is fascinating and the photography is exceptional! A great book for all ages. The Loon Center in NH carries them always and even gave them to our donors as a contribution incentive.

  • I have been carrying John's photography in our small nature store for several years.

Grapenuts is a great little book. Beautiful pictures - wonderful message.

  • I have purchased this book & the photography is outstanding. The story is captivating about the life of a baby loon. The author takes you through the journey of this adorable baby loon. I've learned alot about this type of bird. This book is perfect for children learning to care for animals in the wild. Great for nature lovers of all ages. I showed this book to a 99 year old gentlman & he said, "Now I know alot about loons!" You're never too old to learn about the caring of nature!
