  • If she had never recorded anything else these Trovatore excerpts alone would testify to her greatness.

  • Wonderful. Spectacular. Both of them fantastic and the tempo gives it this extra measure of excitement.

  • @silviodavide Berkshires (on line) still

has it...but with the burned in Japanese

subtitles and poor picture quality. I think

this is from Dreamlife and isn't available

anymore. I'm hoping VAI will buy the rights

    and reissues it.

  • excellent! the recording is interesting, you even see the conductor and the orchestra in some shots! Glossop is a wonderful Conte!

  • Glossop was a great singer/actor. I saw him many times at the ROH.he was always terrific. Both he and Caballe are splendid here!

  • Where's VAI when you need them? This should

be available on DVD! Excellent...thanks Onegin65.

  • I am actually pleasantly surprised by how good Glossop sounds. I was once told in a masterclass that I sounded "Glossp-y"! It wasn't meant as a compliment...

  • At this point in time Caballe's voice was still growing and her artistry imporoving, to reach their peak around 1975. Wish someone would informe me where to get the complete DVD.
