@2010ilovelife Comparing what a person with Alzheimer's suffers and what a middle-school child suffers sadly reflects the common ignorance of Alzheimer's. Research the subject, attend Alzheimer's support group meetings, spend several days helping caretakers. Spend time with those in the different stages of Alzheimer's. I'm watching my father suffer horribly as he dies from it. I don't "know" who my mother is because the toll of care giving has taken everything out of her.

@MsP0rnflake exactly what it's all about, m o n e y. Hospitals,palliative care clinics and docs making big money off prolonging suffering. My nana had to starve herself to death...

@firefwi look at the average expense of palliative care(and actual effectiveness),which is what the medicl community has proposed as a solution to the problem of prolonged deaths that now happen due to the level of modern medical tech

i was in TIJUANA for FETAL STEM CELL treatment and it did not work in Jan 2011 for ME/CFS, ARTHRITIS AND POST EPILEPSY. I asked the guards at the boarder about buying medication and they said it has to be WITH A PRESCRIPTION or it is ILLEGAL. So how are we suppose to get a LEGAL prescription?? how are we to BUY SOMETHING ILLEGAL AND BRING IT ACROSS THE BORDER?? I live in CANADA

Whether it's abortion or end of life choices, the "right to life" lobby is determined that it should have control of how people live and die. I wonder if they get some kind of thrill by having people suffer.
I too, thought about buying a gun if it were to come to that. I hope to live a long and health life, but, if I was faced with a terminal and painful illness, I would not hesitate to take matters into my own hands regardless of the law. Screw the right to life and the Catholic Church!
