Well, since Max was left in the desert without a vehicle, who knows how far from civilization ( since he was pretty much kicked out of Barter Town) if it has to be about someone, it better be about someone as badass as Gibson and Max put together. If not, I don't see any reason to see it... If only his son lived, maybe it could've been about him.

If Mel Gibson is not going to star in it, don't even bother making it.

The problem I see here mates, is time. Mellie is indeed met his mat, but indeed, Mel is MAD MAX. Like Harrison Ford, only they can play the character they originally starred as. But again, age and whoever writes the script is what will make or break the final sequel. Big gamble. Indiana Jones with Ford just wasn't what it all was when they hyped it up so much.
