I'm not a fan of the tempo. I know it's marked around that tempo, but the piece seems to lose its expressiveness at that speed. Segawa's recording is more expressive and equally precise.

I think the Cummings Sax concerto is a great piece also.

Teosax his sound is amazing believe me... the taping is not that good.. he plays an A28 with 4# blue box vandoren reeds... beast! =)

In my opinion, this piece is up there with the Glazunov and Ibert as the best Concertos for the Saxophone. Of the three, it is certainly the most demanding.
This was played very well. Playing the altisimo in tune is a challenge and I think the soloist met it head on. Nice job and thanks for the post!

Con una interpretación de ese nivel se gana un primer premio... y no un segundo. Hay quienes con versiones inaudibles graban éste y algún concierto más en cd... y no quiero dar apellidos... pero empieza por Har y termina por Le. Aupa Antonio!!
