The Boss should have received a military funeral. Flags, marines, the whole works. What she did for her country was legendary. It's a shame she didn't get the recognition she deserves.

Completely agree with you, but the answer to why she didn't, why her grave was left anonymous, was because of Politics, because of what was recorded. In order to evade the USA's involvement in going behind Russia's lines to get Sokolov, and subsequently, getting blamed for the nuclear attack *which Volgin knew would be put on The Boss*, they had to say The Boss did it of her own free will, which she didn't.

That's one reason why The Boss is, and will remain, my favorite MGS character. Because she saw to go through with her mission, regardless of what would happen.

I agree although she defected so they would not honor someone who defected and like in the ending when eva says "No one will ever know what she did"
